What is the EAST COAST ARTISAN?

The EAST COAST ARTISAN is the successor to the CRAFT DIGEST, a long-running publication that compiles and prints information about upcoming arts and crafts fairs for working artists, artisans, craftsmen and others interested in exhibiting and selling their work. We offer more listings of local and regional shows than any other publication covering the Connecticut and New England area. Originally published as the Connecticut Guild of Craftsmen's Newsletter the CRAFT DIGEST was an indispensable guide for anyone who wanted to sell their handcrafted work. The EAST COAST ARTISAN is continuing that focus in a bi-monthly print edition available by subscription. We also offer online content that we hope will be helpful in running the business side of your life. Please feel free to call, email, write or fax with any questions, ideas, or comments about your life as a working craftsman/artist.

Longtime Craftsmen take over publication of The Craft Digest

Lee and Judy       Lee Skalkos and Judy Standerford have both been working in the crafts field for since the early 1980's. Most of our readers probably know them from their many years of exhibiting in Connecticut craft shows. They both feel that it is important to keep the resources of the Craft Digest available. Both artists are passionate about supporting the American craftsmen and the arts. We are pleased to announce that they are stepping in to take over publication of the Craft Digest under a new name, the East Coast Artisan. Publication will begin with the January, 2006 issue. They will begin taking subscriptions July 1, 2005. The new website for all show and subscription information is: www.eastcoastartisan.com.
